Promotional MERCH Shoot
We aimed to create a promotional video that not only highlights the merchandise but also tells a story - a story of a team that's passionate about basketball and committed to excellence. We wanted to showcase the Edmonton Stingers as more than just a basketball team but as a brand that fans can connect with and proudly support.

Together they form an exciting new chapter in Canadian basketball history!
New ownership purchases the Stingers
Edmonton is now home to a truly local basketball team! The Canadian Elite Basketball League's (CEBL) Stingers have been purchased by the newly-formed partnership of three passionate members from their own community - Reed Clarke, Taranvir "Tank" Vander, and James Burns. With this transition in ownership comes an exciting managerial shakeup: Clarke will assume both President and Chief Executive Officer roles while his partners take on the Managing Partner positions. This change has brought newfound energy into playing for pride within the city limits!
Reed Clarke
Clarke is a dedicated leader of the Stingers and has been making waves in the world of community initiatives since November 2021. In just one year he's managed to bring countless programs and projects to fruition – not only with his work at the helm of the organization but also through his previous role as Director Of Marketing for Auto Canada. There's no denying that this man knows how to make things happen!
Taranvir "Tank" Vander
Vander, an established entrepreneur, and passionate sports fan, has been a dedicated partner of Burns for many years. He is responsible for the establishment of Ace Liquor and currently serves as President (Liquor Division) at SNDL - formerly known as Alcanna INC. Outside of his business endeavors, he's active in serving his community through volunteering activities.
James Burns
With decades of experience in both business and basketball, Burns has had an impressive career. From co-heading the 1994 World Championships of Basketball to helping bring the NBA to Canada and eventually launching the Toronto Raptors, he was also a director with Canada Basketball for three years. Most recently as Vice Chair/CEO of Alcanna—one Edmonton's most recognizable publicly traded companies employing over 2,500 people—, Burns is undoubtedly one among many Canadian power players excelling on all fronts.

“Taking over as Head Coach of the Edmonton Stingers represents an exciting opportunity to not only work with professional athletes but to build the game of basketball in Edmonton. I look forward to rejoining an organization that places such high priority on supporting the development of basketball at every level within the community.”

Jordan Baker
“As a group, the three of us will chart a course for the success of the Edmonton Stingers on the court and in the community. We want to win a lot of games, fill a lot of seats, and put a lot of smiles on the faces of the basketball-mad kids in this community. It is humbling and gratifying to have Steve and Jordan join our Club at this level, and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together.”
