About John Reid

John Reid may have passed away in 2003, but his impact on the St. Albert community lives on. Known around town as "the man with the big smile," he was an inspiring figure who embodied success through hard work and perseverance - two values that were instilled into every sport or team he coached, whether it was Bantam AA/AAA teams or even coaching his own kids playing hockey! He loved sports more than anything; from minor league play to donning a jersey for U of A's Golden Bears during his university years - John dedicated himself to giving back all that this city had given him by fostering talent and enthusiasm within its youth players. Truly missed by everyone close to him, we remember 'Big Smile' fondly here at home where his legacy endures forevermore.
